You can’t unless there are form fields or you have Adobe Acrobat Professional. If you want to edit PDF text you have a couple options available.

I highly recommend PDFill, CNET gives it 5 stars and it will allow you to Insert, Fill, Edit, Delete and Submit PDF Form Fields; PDF Draw, Comment, Annotation; Open, View, Edit and Save PDF files without Adobe Acrobat!

    You can’t.

All pdf is basically is a photograph of a page, it’s not like a word processing program that allows you to edit the contents.

It was created as a free generic reader to allow anybody to read a document without having to have a specific program to open it.

If you have to fill out the document then you need to print it, then re-scan it into your system, save it as a pdf document yourself, then send the completed, scanned document to whoever is waiting for it.

    Hope this helps.

If the form fields are activated for filling up, then go right ahead and click these fields so you can enter text.

Another way would be using the typewriter command, but this would require Acrobat Pro.

If there are only a few fields, then perhaps you could try pasting text images on the PDF and printing it as .PDF again (this could become very tedious though especially if there are plenty of fields to cover). example: type text in a word processor, then print screen, edit the image to show only the text, then paste the edited image on the appropriate field.

Well, that’s about it for my suggestions, hope these helped.
